GRAND CRU ALTENBERG DE BERGBIETEN
Homogeneous soil, clayey-marl gypsiferous of the Keuper. The presence of dolomitic pebbles favors the heating and the circulation of water. In the wines, the freshness of the aromas reveals all the authenticity of this unique terroir.
GRAND CRU ALTENBERG DE WOLXHEIM
This grand cru is located in the Wolxheim fault field, and has a subsoil of Lias and Dogger of a marly-limestone nature rich in pebbles. The wines produced from it have a great ageing potential, a powerful and harmonious body, and aromas of great finesse that it reveals.
GRAND CRU ENGELBERG
This terroir, which overlooks the Cave du Roi Dagobert on the heights of Scharrach, offers stony marl-limestone soils, with Muschelkalk at its extreme west. The wines produced here have a well-structured body and an elegant bouquet, and are ideal for ageing.
PLACE CALLED KRITTLER
This locality is located in the commune of Wolxheim, on clay soil that produces a powerful, floral Riesling.

THE OLD VINES
Old vines - 25 years for Pinot Gris, 30 for Riesling and Gewurztraminer, and 35 for Sylvaner according to European conventions - produce less than younger vines.
As a result, yields are lower and grapes more concentrated. The resulting wines are denser and more suitable for ageing.
THE PRESTIGE RANGE
Made from over-ripe grapes, Vendanges Tardives are the result of long, painstaking work. Patience and humility are the cornerstones.
