What is vin nouveau?
Vin nouveau is above all a tradition in Alsace! This ephemeral wine makes its appearance a few days after the start of the grape harvest.
Vin nouveau is somewhere between grape juice and wine, and undergoes several stages of evolution: initially sweet (Nejer Siesser), it contains little or no alcohol, and is consumed like grape juice. After a certain period, the yeasts become active, and fermentation begins, with the juice becoming cloudy and the appearance of fine bubbles (Nejer Risser).
Enjoyed as an aperitif, it is also very popular with nuts and smoked bacon.

Summer cellar tours
In summer, the Cave du Roi Dagobert opens its doors to you, and takes you behind the scenes! Take a guided tour of our winery to find out how we operate, and follow the grape transformation process. You can then enjoy a free wine tasting in the cellar.

Festive Open House, July 6
On Sunday, July 6, from 10am to 6pm, the Cave du Roi Dagobert opens its doors to you for an exceptional day of discovery, conviviality and Alsace terroir. Come and discover the secrets of this emblematic winery during immersive guided tours of its facilities, and enjoy a privileged moment in the heart of the vineyard to learn more about the work of the vines and the passion of the winemakers.
Throughout the day, commented tastings will enable you to enjoy a selection of Alsace wines and crémants, with expert advice. A great opportunity to whet your taste buds and take advantage of special promotions on our emblematic cuvées. Meanwhile, youngsters won't be left out in the cold, thanks to dedicated games and activities for the whole family to enjoy.
To extend this moment of sharing, we'll be offering light meals on site, at lunchtime and in the evening. Whether you're a wine enthusiast, curious to discover what goes on behind the scenes at an Alsatian winery, or simply looking for a convivial outing, this Open House is for you. Join us for a unique experience at the Cave du Roi Dagobert!

Our young winemakers are proud to present the new concert at the Cave du Roi Dagobert with the group DAKOTA!

Food Trucks evening: Saturday, May 18!
Saturday May 18, from 5pm, the Cave du Roi Dagobert welcomes Food Trucks into the night! You'll be able to eat on site (outdoor set-up), and take advantage of our wine and crémant stand to enhance your meal! The Food Trucks will be of different styles, and we'll be serving Burgers, Vegetarian, Exotic cuisine, sweet flavors, etc. ...In concert: the MartinizAdmission is free.

Are you ready to enjoy an evening in the company of our winemakers? Let's go for another concert at the Cave du Roi Dagobert!
Dr Boost will set the stage alight with a host of pop-rock covers! The concert kicks off around 9pm, and continues all night long with a DJ!
Catering from 6.30pm with tartes flambées and grilled meats.
ATTENTION: There will be no evening ticket sales! Tickets must be purchased in advance. Tickets cannot be returned or exchanged.
